Growing device value after installation
A revenue model beyond the one-time sale
Beyond winning new orders, we design value-added options for the installed base and recurring revenue from software updates.
01
Win more new orders
What hospitals ask in tenders is “how many thoracic and abdominal cases per year can this machine handle?” A machine with markerless tracking as standard, whose business impact can be shown in numbers, differentiates beyond technical specifications.
02
Additional sales to the installed base
Not new capital investment but a “value-added option for the existing machine”. Licenses are added to machines in operation, growing service revenue. It fits as the next stage of each manufacturer’s roadmap (image guidance, adaptive therapy, etc.).
03
Share update and maintenance revenue
Updates and maintenance of the tracking algorithms, 4DCT generation AI and image synthesis are delivered within the manufacturer’s service contract. The manufacturer, not only PIL, receives recurring revenue and keeps a touchpoint with users for the physical life of the machine.
How the license is structuredSold under the OEM brand. Regulatory, sales and maintenance by the OEM; PIL focuses on development, customization and documentation
License
Per machine / per module. Only the functions needed can be licensed
Customization
Evaluation modules tailored to the delivery specification
Regulatory documentation and submission support
PIL supports the partial-change application
Clinical introduction and operational support
Start-up, training, collecting user feedback
Updates and maintenance
Recurring revenue from software updates and maintenance (shared with the manufacturer)
